GiveCloud allows you to create an infinite number of custom form fields for each of your fundraising items or products. For example:

Text Field - A simple short text field (good for short text input).

Big Text Field - A larger text box good for up to 2500 characters of text.

Select Box - A drop down field with multiple options available for the user to select.

Check Box - A single checkbox the user can select. This is best used when requiring a simple confirmation from a user.

You can also add: Email, Date, Custom HTML (images, paragraphs and headings), and Hidden Fields.

How do I add a custom field to a product?

  1. On the product detail screen, click on the 'Custom Fields' tab.
  2. Click the 'Add Input Field' button.  This will create one custom field.  You can click 'Add Input Field' as many times as you like to create as many custom fields as you like.
  3. Configure each custom field according to your needs:
    Sequence - This allows you to set the sequence of the form fields on the screen.
    Name - The name or label of the field on the form.
    Type - The type of input field to use.
    Is Required - Determines whether or not the user MUST fill out this form field. If you make a checkbox required, the user MUST check it in order to submit the form.
    Map to DPO Gift UDF - GiveCloud can take user input and push it into custom Gift UDF fields in DonorPerfect.

    Options - This only displays when Type is Select Box.  This allows you to define all your select box options.  Each option must be seperated with a new line.  
  4. Click the 'Save' button in the top right corner.
